Fund Raising & Social Events

FUNDRAISING

We are creating an open air classroom in our amazing garden and playground space.  We plan to have raised beds where we can grow our own produce, wildflower areas to attract butterflies, a solar powered oven, a recycling area, a bike blender, music installations, a pond and even an amphitheatre!

As part of this project our Art Club has been busy over the last few weeks working with design company BuroCreative designing a logo.  All the children came up with some amazing designs that we sent across to BuroCreative for them to develop and they took elements from many of them but there was one design that they based their final design on and that was Tahsin’s…..

Fork to Fork Food Festival 11th June 2016

Dear Parents and Carers,

At the festival there will be lots of different areas starting with the World Fete Area with lots of stalls selling handmade artefacts representing lots of countries, these will be made by our children.  There will be a cake stall, a plant stall and lots more.  Visitors will be able to relax in our picnic garden.  There will be children’s entertainers with lots of activities for them to take part in.  During the course of the day there will be performances by a selection of our children from every year group with songs and dances from different corners of the world.  We will send out more information about the performances very soon.

In the Food Festival Area you will find lots of talented and creative chefs, restaurateurs and producers celebrating healthy food and traditional recipes from all over the world.  It will feature food and produce stalls, chef demonstrations, talks and tastings.  You will have an opportunity to purchase and taste signature dishes created by these talented chefs, who are giving up their time and donations to support Ark Franklin.

The festival is being run to raise money so that we can create an open air classroom in our amazing garden and playground space.  We plan to have raised beds where we can grow our own produce, wildflower areas to attract butterflies, a solar powered oven, a recycling area, a bike blender, music installations, a pond and even an amphitheatre!

It will be an opportunity for the whole community to come together to celebrate the wonderful and diverse cultures of our pupils, staff, parents and wider community.  Parents and children are encouraged to come along wearing traditional costumes. It promises to be a great family day out!
